COMING SOON

Ten years after their debut, (New Grids, 2008) and their appearance on the Juno soundtrack under the Antsy Pants moniker, which helped them getting started on the European indie  rock scene, the band, originally from a small town in the French Alps but now relocated in Paris, is back with a very personal blend of slacker rock, 1960s pop music & hypnotic ballads.

Known for their catchy melodies, either cheerful or melancholic, the five boys deliver, all taking turns singing. While the music is much more guitar based than it was on their previous album (Tiger Meets Lion, 2014), elegant keyboards and subtle electronic arrangements are still in there. The tunes in this Sentimental Jukebox are very spontaneous, yet one can tell that the words of these songs were very meticulously chosen - all in all, a combination of mood and wit that pays respects to the classics (Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave or The Beach Boys), and

carry on the indie rock torch (Pavement, Silver Jews, Herman Düne) - reminding one of the Wave Pictures (long time friends of the band) or The War On Drugs.

New ideas for this album emerged while touring as Adam Green’s backing band for a hundred shows throughout Europe - sharing the van with the likes of Macaulay Culkin or the Vaselines. Ideas that the band later processed in a very relaxed atmosphere, getting back to their teenage rehearsal space, and then recording and mixing the album among friends in their hometown : ideas that finally came together in the shape of a Sentimental Jukebox.
